The Story Behind
In Central Park Row, Erik Drooker captures a quiet, almost cinematic moment: a solitary figure moves through a rain-slicked city, bathed in the glow of streetlights and reflection. Known for his bold lines and dreamlike urban scenes, Drooker blends realism with emotion — turning New York’s streets into poetic stages.
This piece speaks of movement and stillness, isolation and rhythm. It evokes the feeling of walking alone through the city, coat collar up, thoughts drifting with each footstep.
